In her spare time, Franci Neely serves as a philanthropist and volunteer.

Neely was a partner at Susman Godfrey, L.L.P. until she decided to resign.
She was involved in several successful settlement agreements in commercial litigation for more than two decades.

She is also Co-Chair of the Houston Museum of Fine Arts’ Art of Islamic Worlds and Film of Islamic Worlds subcommittees.
In addition to the Baker Institute and the Moody Center, Franci Neely serves on the boards of several other organizations.
She is a key player in decision-making at The Menil Foundation and the Houston Cinema Arts Society, where she was a founding member. She has given to several of these charities in the past.
Since Steve Susman’s death, I have lost a dear personal friend and mentor.

We learned a lot about ourselves and the world around us throughout the epidemic.

Live concerts and seeing original works of art in their original settings will always be a part of our lives, no matter how many times we have the chance to do it.

As I have grown older, I have learned to be more proactive rather than reactive.

It is possible to get to many worthwhile causes in a lot of different ways.

Contributing to a smaller number of nonprofits in a more concentrated manner has a bigger impact than donating more widely (too many nonprofits in lesser amounts).
